Strictly defined, happiness is a <a class=\"_58cn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/positive?source=feed_text&amp;story_id=1539325813036343\"><span class=\"_58cl\">\u202a#\u200e<\/span><span class=\"_58cm\">positive\u202c<\/span><\/a> mental and emotional state, a subjective state of well-being that can range from contentment to intense joy.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, in recent years\u2019 science has focused a lot on Happiness and what it takes to be happy. We got together in this chat session to d<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">iscuss Happiness and understand what science has to say about it. The reason happiness is important is not just because it feels good to be happy, but also because science shows that happiness is good for health.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p>Here are some tips to # stay happy that were discussed in the session:<\/p>\n<p>1.Choose to be happy: Make a conscious choice to be happy<br \/>\nand actively choose happiness.<br \/>\n2.Gratitude: Taking out time every day to be grateful is an<br \/>\nexcellent way to stay happy.<br \/>\n3.Helping Others: Be it family or strangers. What we give need<br \/>\nnot be money or something materialistic\u2014it can be a simple<br \/>\ncompliment, our time, our love, our skills or even our<br \/>\nattention.<br \/>\n4.Acceptance: Accepting Life circumstances and also learning<br \/>\nto forgive is important for happiness.<br \/>\n5.Mindfulness: Being open and active in the present moment.<br \/>\n6.Move closer to your \u2018ideal self\u2019: making short term goals that<br \/>\nare realistic can be useful in moving towards your ideal self.<\/p>\n<p>The value of experiential knowledge was integrated with scientific knowledge.
